💚 Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy MLD 💚 is my forte, where I pay special attention to the body’s detoxification systems and organs.
🍃 Here is a summary what MLD is all about:
☘️ Vodder Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle, light skin movement type of therapy. It should be relaxing and calming that encourages the movement of lymph fluids around the body
– MLD is a non-invasive therapy in which the practitioner uses a range of specialised and gentle, rhythmic, pumping techniques to move the skin, stimulating the Lymphatic System to work harder
– This speeds up removal of excess fluid and waste products
– MLD generally uses a light, painless pressure as your lymphatic vessels start shallow in the skin layer (dermis) and trained therapists (like me!) know how to manipulate them, redirecting fluid away from swollen areas
🍃 The fluid in the lymphatic system helps remove waste and toxins from the bodily tissues
– Some health conditions can cause lymph fluid to build up
– Lymphatic drainage massages can benefit people with lymphoedema, lipoedema, fibromyalgia, and other conditions
🍃 While the heart continuously pumps blood through the blood vessels, the lymphatic system relies on the movement of smooth muscles to transport fluid through the lymph vessels.
🍃 Manual Lymphatic Drainage can reduce swelling and improve circulation throughout the lymphatic system.
🍃 Manual Lymphatic Drainage can benefit people who are experiencing the following:
🌱Lymphoedema, Lipoedema, CVI, Lipo-lymphoedema
🌱Fibromyalgia
🌱Swelling or Oedema
🌱Skin Disorders
🌱Fatigue
🌱Insomnia
🌱Stress
🌱Digestive Problems
🌱Arthritis
🌱Migraine episodes
🌱Muscle Pain
🍃 Dr Vodder School and Gold Standard Manual Lymphatic Drainage
The Dr. Vodder School is based is in Walchsee, Austria.
The school became the first—and remains the leading—training center worldwide for authentic Manual Lymphatic Drainage technique. They have been running international training for many years with the international teachers being held to the highest professional standard with bi-annual reassessments back in Austria.
This world-renowned and certified technique was developed by Dr Emil Vodder in 1938.
The Vodders’ legacy found a permanent home thanks to the dedication of the Wittlinger family. In 1972, Günther and Hildegard Wittlinger, together with Dr. Vodder, established the Dr. Vodder School in Walchsee, Austria. This school became the first—and remains the leading—training center worldwide for authentic Manual Lymph Drainage in the Vodder tradition.
What makes the Wittlinger Lymphoedema Clinic unique is its combination of:
🍃Expertise: It is staffed by highly trained therapists, many of whom are directly connected to the Vodder teaching lineage.
🍃Comprehensive care: Patients with lymphedema, lipedema, post-surgical swelling, or chronic lymphatic conditions receive not only Manual Lymph Drainage but also holistic programs including compression therapy, exercise, skincare, and psychosocial support.
🍃Healing environment: Located in the Tyrolean Alps, the clinic provides a serene, restorative setting that supports both body and mind—something the Vodders themselves always valued in their approach to health.
Because of this, the Wittlinger Clinic is regarded worldwide as the gold standard in lymphatic therapy. Patients often travel from around the globe to benefit from its specialized expertise, and therapists trained there are considered among the most skilled in the field.
☘️ As a Vodder Certified Practitioner and a member of the Vodder School International, I am trained to work safely on clients with complex conditions such as post cancer conditions including Lymphoedema Lipoedema, CVI, and surgical after-care.
